Kill-Switch
Emergency toggle to suspend all autonomous agent activity. You stay in control of when AI can interact with your store.
What it does#
The Kill-Switch is a single setting that, when active, suspends all autonomous agent-related behavior supported by CognitiveCart. That includes:
- AI-facilitated checkout (agents and chat cannot create checkout sessions or complete payments).
- Pulse Concierge (behavioral intent detection and AI-generated nudges are disabled).
Discovery (UCP manifest and Abilities API listing) may still be available so that agents can see your store exists, but they cannot complete purchases or trigger Pulse while the Kill-Switch is on. You can turn it off again at any time to re-enable agent checkout and Pulse.
Where it lives#
The Kill-Switch is controlled from the Intelligence Dashboard. In the WordPress admin, go to CognitiveCart and use the main Dashboard tab (or the dedicated control, depending on your version) to turn the Kill-Switch on or off. The current state is visible at a glance so you always know whether agent activity is allowed.
Use the Kill-Switch when you need to temporarily stop all AI-driven checkout and Pulse (e.g. during an incident or policy change). It does not remove or disconnect Stripe; it only blocks agent and Pulse actions until you turn it off.
